The Masjid al-Haram during peak Umrah and Hajj season is one of the most crowded places on earth. Pickpocketing is a known risk, and many pilgrims have lost cash or documents during Tawaf. A money belt worn beneath the ihram is the safest way to carry essentials — far more secure than a bag or jacket that must be left outside.

Shariah note — is a belt allowed in ihram?
Yes. Men in the state of ihram are permitted to wear an unstitched or non-sewn belt to secure their lower cloth (إِزَار). The Rukn belt is specifically designed to comply with ihram requirements.
